Semolina Bread Toast

Semolina Bread Toast can become a perfect great evening snack. With just a few ingredients, this recipe is a quick fix for those evening hunger pangs.

Ingredients:

5-6 bread slices (white bread/ brown bread/ multi-grain bread)

2-3 tbsp Semolina

2-3 tbsp Curd

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 medium sized tomato, de-seeded & finely chopped

2-3 chopped green chillies

2-3 tsp coriander leaves, finely chopped

2 tsp finely chopped capsicum & carrot (optional)

Salt to taste

Oil for greasing

Time Taken:

Prep. Time – 5 mins

Cooking Time – 20 mins

Serves: 2-3

Calorie Intake: 1 piece = 136 cal

Procedure:

  1. In a bowl, mix semolina, curd, chopped onions, tomatoes, green chillies (chopped carrot & capsicum optional) and freshly chopped coriander leaves along with salt as required.
  2. Now spread the semolina mixture evenly on top of all bread slices with the help of a spoon.
  3. In a frying pan, add 1 tsp oil for greasing and place the bread slice with the batter side down.
  4. Cook the bread slice for around 2 minutes till the batter side turns golden brown.
  5. Now flip the bread slice and toast the other side for another minute.
  6. Remove the slice from the frame and cut the slice diagonally.
  7. Repeat the process with all the other bread slices.
  8. Serve Semolina Bread Toast with mint chutney or tomato sauce.

      Yup. Its super easy to make. One advice though – use normal curd or slightly sour curd but not super pungent curd. That will ruin the taste.
